Russell Crowe is looking to offload his 25 percent share of South Sydney NRL club at a huge profit, according to a media report on Monday.

The Hollywood star is seeking potential investors to but him out of the club with his share estimated at between $15-$20 million by the Daily Telegraph in its report.

Crowe is co-owner along with billionaires James Packer and Mike Cannon-Brookes, while Rabbitohs members also have a 25 percent share.

Crowe and businessman Peter Holmes a Court paid $3 million to buy Souths in 2006, represting a big profit should he manage to sell.

The report comes as it is rumoured Crowe is looking to offload his apartment in Sydney for $40 million.

The Telegraph said Crowe had not responded to enquiries.

Crowe has been less visible during the recent seasons after taking centre stage during the 2014 premiership win.

The Rabbitohs finished 16th in 2024 and Crowe was involved in the sacking of coach Jason Demetriou and the return of Wayne Bennett, with whom he shares a close relationship.
