Brisbane five-eighth Ezra Mam’s off-field behaviour is being investigated by the NRL Integrity Unit for the second time in the space of a month after he was involved in a head-on car crash in Brisbane on Friday night.

Queensland Police have confirmed that Mam underwent a roadside drug test after his car collided with a vehicle driven by an Uber driver in the Brisbane suburb of Bardon.

Mam was taken to hospital as a precaution but nobody was seriously injured in the incident, according to a NewsCorp report. The 21-year-old Bronco suffered a minor bump to his head and the Uber driver and two passengers were also hospitalised but were reportedly unscathed.

The Broncos have informed the NRL Integrity Unit who investigated Mam’s activities just last month after he and teammate Reece Walsh were involved in a late-night incident in Bali when another tourist’s mobile phone was damaged.

“Police are investigating following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Bardon tonight, October 18,” police said in a statement.

“Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.20pm, a Ford Ranger utility was travelling north-east along Simpsons Road when it struck a Toyota Camry, travelling in the opposite direction, near the intersection of The Drive.

“Initial roadside drug testing was conducted on the driver of the utility, a 21-year-old Ipswich man; however, police are awaiting results.

“No one was seriously injured, and investigations are continuing.”

The Broncos endured a season from hell after making last year’s grand final, missing the playoffs to finish 12th and sacking coach Kevin Walters to replace him with NSW Origin mentor Michael Maguire.

Mam inked a lucrative extension with the club earlier this year which runs until the end of 2029.
