The Dolphins have nailed down fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow on a deal until 2027.
Tabuai-Fidow has been on fire this season, scoring eight tries in the first seven rounds, after his World Cup campaign with Samoa was cut short by an ankle injury.
The 21-year-old is a strong chance of returning to the Queensland side this year after making his debut in 2021.
Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said the team can build around the Hammer.
“It is so pleasing that Hamiso has shown the form we believed he was capable of and demonstrated just what a match winner he can be,” said Reader.
“He came to the Dolphins on the chance to assert himself as a fullback – an opportunity we must sincerely thank the Cowboys for in allowing Hamiso a release to take up that challenge.

“There is no doubt that Hamiso has shown he is a true game breaker by scoring tries in each of his first six games for the club.
“That included our historic first ever premiership try against the Roosters in round one, a moment that will live in the memories of everyone who attended that game on that famous day.
“He has now established himself as one of the form fullbacks in the NRL and that is why he has got this reward.”
Parramatta have re-signed hooker Brendan Hands until the end of 2025 after the 23-year-old has quickly become a fan favourite with his energetic bursts from dummy-half.
Cronulla’s in-form fullback Will Kennedy has inked a contract extension until the end of 2025.
Kennedy, who was the club’s best and fairest player in 2021, has established himself as a crucial part of the Cronulla line-up in recent years and he was not tempted to look elsewhere.
“I’ve been here since my SG Ball days and I love the club, the culture we have here and have close relationships with the players here at the Sharks,” Kennedy said.

Young centre Deine Mariner will remain at the Bronco until the end of 2027 after the 19-year-old signed a three-year extension on top of his current deal despite interest from the Dolphins.
