Sharks forwards Braden Hamlin-Uele, Blayke Brailey and Siosifa Talakai are under an injury cloud heading into Saturday’s crunch clash with Canterbury.
Hamlin-Uele suffered medial ligament damage, Talakai injured his knee while Brailey is nursing a corked thigh after their 27-12 triumph over South Sydney.
Wests Tigers are also monitoring two of their key players with winger Jeral Skelton (hamstring) and Samuel Fainu (leg) injured in their comeback win over the Dolphins in Redcliffe.
Storm star Jahrome Hughes broke his hand during the first half of Thursday’s win over Penrith but still played most of the match.
He won’t be seen on field again until Round 6 with Tyran Wishart and Jonah Pezet in contention to replace him alongside Cameron Munster in the halves.
Nick Meaney will be out of action for up to six weeks with a facial fracture while Nelson Asofa-Solomona has suffered a concussion after the pair clashed heads.
Journeyman winger Grant Anderson and second-rower Eliesa Katoa have avoided knee injuries after it was initially feared they would spend time on the sidelines.
Five-eighth Cameron Munster has also avoided a charge from the NRL judiciary, cleared of a hip-drop tackle while trying to chase down arch-nemesis Liam Martin.
Brisbane fullback Reece Walsh has been pinged by the match review committee but will escape a ban for his shoulder charge on Murray Taulagi.
He has been hit with a grade-one offence which means he could be banned two matches if he challenged the charge but he will pay a $3000 fine to be free to play in Round 4.
Wests Tigers winger Sunia Turuva will cough up a $3000 fine with an early guilty plea rather than take a two-game ban after he was handed a Grade 1 Crusher Tackle offence for an incident involving Jack Bostock in the 30th minute of Saturday’s win at Kayo Stadium.
Rabbitohs fullback Jye Gray was charged for a hip drop tackle on Cronulla veteran Siosifa Talakai during their loss at Shark Park but he will not be banned and cop a fine of $1000 with an early guilty plea.
Round 4 teams
All times AEDT
Rabbitohs vs Panthers at Accor Stadium: 8pm, Thursday March 27
Rabbitohs: Alex Johnston (Achilles) is a slight chance to return but Latrell Mitchell (hamstring) and Lachlan Hubner (suspension) won’t be on deck, along with Josh Schuster (calf), Euan Aitken (pectoral) and Tyrone Munro (collarbone) for at least another week.
Panthers: Nathan Cleary’s category-one concussion means Blaize Talagi could partner Jack Cole in the halves or Brad Schneider will be called into the No.7 jersey.
Daine Laurie is likely to return from a quad injury which kept him out of the loss to the Storm so that he can deputise at fullback for Dylan Edwards (groin).

Dragons: Recent recruit David Klemmer could be rushed straight into the game-day 17 after completing his switch from the Tigers during St George Illawarra’s bye week.
Storm: Nelson Asofa-Solomona (concussion) is in doubt but winger Will Warbrick should be right to play after sitting out a week with a head knock of his own.

Cowboys vs Raiders at QCB Stadium: 5.30pm, Saturday March 29

Raiders: Joseph Tapine is back from his two-game suspension to bolster the pack.

Sharks: Tom Hazelton (back) should be right after two weeks out and with fellow forwards Braden Hamlin-Uele (knee) and Siosifa Talakai (ankle) in doubt, his timing is impeccable.
Hooker Blayke Brailey (corked thigh) is likely to be OK by game day.
Bulldogs: Outside back Jacob Kiraz should be right to make his first appearance for 2025 after a hip problem.

Tigers vs Warriors at Campbelltown Sports Stadium: 6.15pm, Sunday March 30
Tigers: Jeral Skelton (hamstring) and Samuela Fainu (leg) are concerns for coach Benji Marshall.
